Service Description
Kanban System Design (KSD) Course Description: The Kanban Method is a management method to improve service delivery, catalyze improvements and evolve a business to be “fit for purpose”. In this class, we will cover simple concepts that are powerful in helping you organize, understand and manage your work. You will learn how to design a Kanban system and initiate evolutionary change with Kanban. You will learn the basic concepts of flow, pull, and collaborative improvement. You will also learn how to become faster and more responsive through better risk management and governance. You will gain practical insights on how to understand your systems of work so that you can implement or improve Kanban within your organization. Learning Objectives: - Learn the Principles and Practices of the Kanban Method - Experience the flow of a Kanban system - Learn how to identify work item types and classes of service - Utilize the Systems Thinking Approach to Introducing Kanban (STATIK) to understand your systems of work and how to design your initial Kanban system - Learn the fundamentals of visual board design and card design Certificate issued: Standard certificate of completion only. This is part 1 of a 2-part credential certificate program for KMP Credential. Positioning and Target Group: This course is suited for those who want to acquire solid knowledge about the core of the Kanban method, and want to design or improve Kanban systems. This particularly includes but is not limited to: - Project and Program Manager - Team leads, Managers - Development leads - Business Analysts, Scrum Product Owners, ScrumMasters Team Members Prerequisites: Attendees are expected to have read “Kanban” by David J Anderson or “Kanban from the Inside” by Mike Burrows. Format: The course is a mix of presentation, simulation, and exercises.
Cancellation Policy
- Students submitting cancellation/rescheduling requests 10 business days or more prior to the start of the course are entitled to a full refund/rescheduling. Students submitting cancellation/rescheduling requests less than 10 days and more than 5 business days prior to the start of the course will be issued a credit toward a future Fox Company course (The credit will be equal to the amount paid for the initial course less any applicable fees). Students submitting cancellation/rescheduling request equal or less than 5 business days prior the start of the course, are not entitled to a refund/rescheduling. - Should the organizer cancel the course for any reason, each registered student will be refunded 100% of the registration cost they paid.
